08 - 09 Season
The under 7s had a very successful season culminating in an excellent performance at the Ivybridge minis festival in April. Our group comprised Tavistock, Saltash, Ivybridge, Dartmouth and Exmouth. We lost against Tavistock by one try but then beat Saltash 4-2, drew 4-4 with Dartmouth, and defeated Ivybridge 3-2 and Exmouth 3-2.
The under 8s had an equally successful season with sturdy coaching from Froggy, they have now moved up to the under 9's and are relishing the prospect of contact.
This years under 8s team is looking very robust with Alex, Seth, Tommy, Jordan, James and Jack aiming to wreak havock on the opposition. They are looking forward to being joined by any newcomers to bolster their ranks. Alex and Seth dominated the awards last season with the cups for most tries and players player of the year going to Alex and the cups for most 'man of the match awards' and coaches player of the year to Seth. They will face fierce competition from their team mates for those accolades this season.
The under 7s are also looking forward to locking horns with their rivals. Finley, Jem, Ben, Matthew and Ollie will continue to build on last season's success joined by enthusiastic newcomers including Ciaran, Harry and Alex. Ollie concluded an excellent season being awarded the cup for most improved player.
