Most memorable playing moment:
Having the opportunity to play rugby alongside my son last year in a league match against Topsham. Ansd a match against Torquay in the early ninties. Mike Edmonds Phil Green and myself in the front row. Torquay had this large, intimidating pack,and we took them apart. Our plan, after the first scrum…... just come up swinging…. It worked! |
Most memorable Clubhouse moment(s):
Our now President Colin Taylor doing Jake the Peg, and riding his tricycle around the club house. Bob Wakeham starting a sing song off in the club, and then seeing Alex Smith's face. Seeing Steve Perkins rush back from a Salcome fixture only to find that a select few of the first team had drunk the whole cask of Bass he had left on the bar ready for his return. |
Rugby Ambitions:
Too late to play for England, not qualified to coach England, so I had better hang around TRFC and do what I do best….support the club bar, and sales of Guinness.
|
Best thing about TRFC:
Coming to the club 18 years ago and wanting to stay, the people, attitude, bar prices and Al Stricks |
Rugby Hero, and why:
Josh Kronfeld (New Zealand No.7), never seen anyone keep up with play and make so many tackles, the Richie McCaw of his day. |
Which Rugby Team do you support?
Apart from Totnes?... Bath. |
What is your favourite drink?
Guinness, for the consistancy. |
If you didn't play rugby …
My golf swing would be better, and I wouldn't have so many friends |
